The Rock Garden
During the heyday of dinner theater at the Casino San Clemente, the back yard accommodated set designers and carpenters. Now completely re-landscaped and repurposed, the Rock Garden serves as a lush, private, walled in retreat for gatherings of all varieties. Brides enjoy the tree shaded perimeter and historical fireplace as focal point for wedding ceremonies. With its twinkling overhead market lights, the Garden can also transform to an enchanting evening cocktail area or cozy cigar lounge, if desired. The natural decomposed granite pad supports outdoor movie screens, food stations for culinary celebrations or seating areas for wine tasting events.

The Patio of the Stars
With an outdoor fireplace to warm your guests, our ocean view Patio of the Stars greets arrivals to the Casino grounds. A favorite cocktail hour location, the Patio also hosts anniversary and birthday celebrations, garden club parties and community barbecues. The handmade, star shape tiles remind us of the arrival of Hollywood starlets via limo on the original circular driveway, explaining its name, Patio of the Stars.

The Grand Ballroom
Modeled after the Casino (dance hall) of Catalina Island, the domed wooden beamed ceilings of the Ballroom form an inspiring setting for private parties of up to 300 seated guests. The oak dance floor and stage backdrop invite live music and dancing, as it did when Judy Garland herself sang here in the early days. The Ballroom can be closed curtained for that perfect “wow” surprise for your hungry guests as the chefs are busy in our modern, full service kitchen.

The West Wing
For more intimate gatherings of up to 125 guests, the historic West Wing offers the warm wooden ceilings and panoramic ocean views in true Spanish Colonial Revival style. If you look carefully, you’ll see the faint outline of the original leather booth seating on the floor, where celebrity diners enjoyed a cocktail before dinner theater in the Ballroom long ago. For larger events, the West Wing has served as a relief area for groomsmen, a silent auction hall for fundraisers, an airy meeting or seminar room and also as the epicenter of the Casino’s current live jazz music series.
